The Blarney Spinal Sweater

Here are some photos of my current project. This is what I started making with the Blarney wool after I tore apart the first sweater. I had been knitting this for a few days when I realized that the cabling (cable-ing, is that knitting terminology?) looks very vertebral. And since it will be situated right along my spine, I got a kick out of it. Hoorah for anatomical knitting. In that vein (haha), if you are really into anatomical knitting, check this out. It might be especially useful for Mr Brazi.

My current sweater project. This is the back of the sweater, about half finished.

With the flash on so you can see the actual colour.

If you're not careful, I'll rip you too

I ripped out the back that I had finished earlier, and have started on a different sweater with the wool from the woolen mills.. Again, I'm making some weird adjustments to the pattern and to the wool, so we'll see how it turns out. There might be more ripping in the near future.
On a different note... Where is everyone?

As promised....

So, another one of my Christmas gifts was half a FujiFilm FinePix digital camera, so hopefully the quality of the photos I post will increase. Here are some photos of the capelet I made... Any takers?

Detail of the panel.. bobbles and openwork, hooray!

Kinda blurry detail of the collar.

New Year, New Yarn

So, I finished that weirdo cape thing, and I don't really like how it turned out... but I will still put up a photo of it before I a)give it to one of you, b) rip it out, or c) give it to Oxfam. Mark's mom (a.k.a. - Kindness springs eternal) let me get a MASSIVE bag of wool from the woolen mills in exchange for a sweater she was returning, and I started making a turtleneck (poloneck for you Brits), and I've finished the back, but I'm not crazy about how it's coming along either, so I might rip it out. Other than that, not much knitting news, we should definitely have a session soon though, either in the 'bridge or the 'wich...
