Back check

I've posted some photos of the completed back of the Manly sweater, looking very manly next to the tips of my shoes. I've not yet cast on for the front, but will probably do that at some point today. Not much else going on.

What's the Point? (haha)

Hooray! I got my yarn from Italy in the post finally. And it looks really nice! And the seller sent me two balls of other adriafil yarn as a gift! I can't wait to start on something with it. I've posted some photos, I'm sure you're excited.
I've just completed the back of my manly jumper, and have not cast on for the front yet. It is taking forever, but I like it so far.

My lovely Point by Adriafil, bathing in the English sun.

A close up so you can see the tweediness.

The point legion. See the two that are unlike the rest.. Those are the gifts!

It came back.

So, my fun angora-tweed yarn? It apparently came to England for a short visit and then went back home to Italy. Which prompted the seller to phone me, and alert me to the situation, while I was in my clean room suit, in the clean room. And she was speaking French in a heavy Italian accent. Needless to say, the whole thing was a bit traumatizing for me, but we managed to convey to each other that a) the yarn had been sent to my home address, b) for some reason it was sent back to Italy, and c) I would email a different address they could sent it out to again. So, I'm still waiting for the yarn to be sent to me via Darwin college, and I'm sad about that.
In other news, I have made some progress on my manly jumper, but it is still quite slow going. I won't bore you with a photo.
To leave you on a happy tip, Scareport dressed up like a gorilla and went around the lab collecting money for Comic Relief on Red Nose Day '05 (this past Friday) and managed to rustle up about £150. We are very proud of his efforts!
